The 2007 Beaux-Arts Ball "An Evening with Toulouse Lautrec," was a huge success!
With over 60 attendees, almost all dressed in costume, the night exploded with entertainment!
Attendees enjoyed live music from Dogs on Skiis, a special suprise can can performance by Main Street Dance Academy, accordion music by Keith Lambertsen, mime entertainment by MHS drama student Steven Bromley, a hilarious costume contest and more!
Attendees also enjoyed wine by John Ernest Vineyard and Winery, hors d'oeuvre by Tremont on Main, and a delectable chocolate fountain.
After it was all said and done, $1000 was raised for the CIAA's Collections Preservation Campaign! The Silent Auction raised a total of $2612.73 for the Art and Culture Alliance members who participated!
The 2008 Beaux-Arts ball is already in the works! Ideas for next year's theme taken the night of the ball include ideas such as The Funnies, 1000 Arabian Nights, Cereal Box Cartoons, Through the Looking Glass and more! A new date and location will be expected for the 2008 ball. More details in the next few months.
