March 29 Workshop: Basics of Matting and Framing-- Sorry if you missed it, it was great! We'll plan another.

March 29, 2008 from 2-4 pm in the CIAA Studio, former Director and new Board Member Marti Jo Ferneau will be teaching the basics of matting and framing a picture. Cost for the workshop is $20 for the general public, usual member discount. Our mat cutter will be available and mat board will be provided. Sectional frames will be available. I'm still shopping for the best price. We'll be working with an 8x10" mat so you'll need to bring a picture card or photo that is near 5x7" in size. Please call (753-9013) or email (ciaa@iowatelecom.net) the studio if you plan to attend so there will be enough materials.

Classes: For more information call the studio at 641-753-9013

Mondays

FREE Open Studio 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm.

Open Studio times are open to the general public. Anyone who needs a space to work on their project is welcome to take advantage of our large, airy, studio with it's tables and easels. Working in the company of other artists in the manner of the earliest impressionists at Manet's studio is a time-honored tradition and we hope you will join us.

You'll enjoy the personal attention Jeanne can give you. Jeanne works with students ages 13 and up, beginners, intermediate, and advanced. Once a year, Jeanne's students have the opportunity to participate in a show held in the Fisher Communitiy Center Auditorium.
